On behalf of the Jewish Life Center Board of Directors, thank you for visiting our renovated web site.  Your interest in this dream for the center's future is extremely valuable and appreciated by the whole community.  Your belief in this endeavor is a promise to those who follow that we care about their future education, religious and cultural enrichment.  Our children and theirs will be the true beneficiaries of this project.

The Jewish Life Center owns a 4.74-acre parcel located at the corner of Royal Avenue and Corto Streets in Simi Valley, California. The property was originally donated to Congregation B’nai Emet in 1998 by the homebuilder, Kaufman & Broad, and then transferred to the newly formed JLC in 2002. A capital campaign began to provide funds needed to build a facility for a permanent home for Congregation B’nai Emet, its successful preschool, classrooms, multi purpose auditorium and offices for community social services.  Our current fundraising effort has a goal of $12 to $15 million dollars, but the plan is phased to begin at about $6 million.

We see a facility welcoming to adults and children alike.  A safe environment filled with laughter, the Jewish Life Center will also be home to community social services desperately needed in this area of Greater Los Angeles/Ventura Counties. At least in one point in our lives, we will have a need for one of these social services - if not for ourselves, then for a parent, child or close friend.  As this area of Ventura County continues to grow, demand for community, social and religious services equally grows.

As an IRS 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt public charity, funding for the Jewish Life Center is provided by donations from individuals, corporations and organization as well as various foundation grants. Those grants support our community based non-denominational educational, cultural and social programs. These have been very successful and make us a more integral part of this community with every event. Now is the time to embrace our hope for a beautiful facility and a place for this community to develop. Please help nourish this growth.
